Log Sketch/Color Study

I had this log in my wood pile and thought it would make for an interesting color study. I did it mostly for fun but the more I got into the subject matter the more intrigued I became. The textures, the pin hole beetle marks and the color contrasts prompted me to consider doing a much larger piece. To be continued.
